Integrating Environmental Education into the Al-Zumar School Curriculum: A Sustainable Approach
Abstract
In response to the escalating environmental challenges, there is a growing recognition of the imperative to incorporate environmental education into school curricula. This study explores the implementation of a sustainable approach to integrating environmental education into the curriculum of Al-Zumar School. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and curriculum analysis, the study examines the current state of environmental education in the school and identifies opportunities and challenges for its integration. Results reveal a willingness among educators and stakeholders to prioritize environmental education, yet obstacles such as limited resources and competing priorities are evident. The study proposes a framework for sustainable integration, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches, community engagement, and teacher training. By fostering environmental literacy and stewardship among students, the integration of environmental education into the Al-Zumar School curriculum holds promise for nurturing environmentally responsible citizens andcontributing to sustainable development.
