Iconography and Social Psychology

Abstract

Imagery is a term that indicates multiple symbolic relations between human mind and the universe. Imagination is the basic tool that relates the natural objects with each other and the human mind creates new concepts and philosophies through its imaginative powers. It has three stages. First stage is observation which is analyzed in second stage and then reconstructed in the form of literature. In this process Imagery becomes a term that relates human mind with collective psyche of the society. It is often related to the collective subconscious of a particular civilization. In this essay we have tried to explain imagery as a term and as phenomena in literature.
