This research critically examines the impact of digital media platforms—such as social networking sites, messaging apps, and online forums—on the structure, script, and stylistic expression of the Urdu language. The study aims to explore how digital communication is transforming traditional Urdu orthography and narrative forms. Qualitative methodology is employed, including content analysis of social media texts, online conversations, and user-generated content. Data interpretation is based on linguistic patterns, code-switching trends, and changes in sentence structure. Findings reveal that while digital media promotes the use of Urdu among youth, it also encourages Roman script, informal expressions, and hybrid language forms. The study recommends integrating digital literacy in language education and promoting standard Urdu usage in online spaces. Future implications include possible shifts in language identity and script preference. The research concludes that digital media is a double-edged sword, simultaneously expanding and diluting the linguistic essence of Urdu.
