Abstract
Colonialism is way of ruling where people are controlled in many ways. It is not natural of logical. It is something humans created to divide people into two groups. The rules colonizers and the ruled colonized. The colonizers use their power both mental and physical to take advantage of the colonizers. The also create system like Police, courts and schools to keep control over them. Colonialism in India began `in 1857. People under …… rule had two main opinions some hated it and wanted to stay away from it, while others tried to adjust and become like the colonizers. This was also true for Indians during British rule. Modern colonialism began in the 15th century when Europeans started exploring new lands. They took raw materials from these lands and spread their religion. Different European countries, like the Portuguese and French in Africa, the British and French in Asia, the Dutch in southeast Asia, and the Spanish in south America, controlled these areas. The wanted to more power and resources. They also competed with each other to control the world economy.
